JConverter
(NOT MAINTAINED - No support or refunds)
JConverter is a Joomla component (3.x) using which you can convert any Wordpress blog into Joomla within minutes. It can import posts, pages, menus, users, categories, comments and even images from Wordpress.
Features
- Joomla 3.x/2.5.x compatible.
- Import users from Wordpress and set a common new password.
- Import published posts and pages with categories.
- Import menus from Wordpress keeping same hierarchy (NEW)
- Import approved comments (in JComments extension)
- Import images from Wordpress
- Support conversion of Wordpress newline feeds into Joomla format.
What you'll get?
- Instructions file
- JConverter component installer
Limitations
- Since Joomla doesn't support multi-category association for articles, imported posts will be associated with only one category.
- Both Joomla and Wordpress installation (databases) should be on same server. It is not a limitation of JConverter but most hosting companies block external access to DB via firewall.
- JConverter currently supports import of native Wordpress content, e.g. posts and pages. It does not support import of custom content types, e.g. galleries, products etc.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- No refund can be made for purchases because of any of the limitations mentioned above.
- From 1.7 version onward, support for Joomla 2.5.x is removed. You can still purchase JConverter and request for a 2.5 compatible version however it will not have any new functionality supported from JConverter 1.7 onward.
